WalMart is a genial host. A
real port in the storm.
We salute Ottawa as we pass
it by. It’s Canada’s capital city and probably not many Americans know that for
certain. We are not well educated on the ins and outs of our neighbors, north
and south.
It’s a driving day.
Our highway ends abruptly on
the bank of a river. Others have come this way before us as a flat bed ferry
operates efficiently back and forth across the water. It’s a 6-minute crossing
and we share the deck with 2 cars. Cost is $18 with the trailer. A car alone is
$10.
We are into Quebec and it’s
all French now.
As we near Quebec City we land in terrible rush hour traffic.
After myriad ins and outs and ramps and overpasses we arrive at our pretty
little campsite canopied in fall colors.
